A very warm welcome awaits you at Sunnyside Cottages. They are set in a pretty garden which sits back from the main road. There is ample parking in the front garden.
No 2 cottage is a very comfortable first floor apartment consisting of a twin bedroom, shower room, separate toilet, and the bonus of a sitting room with a large settee that converts into twin beds. There is also a microwave and radio/cassette for guests use, and of course your tea and coffee making facilities.
Guests can also relax in the lovely old orchard with a book and a glass of wine, and children can play in our field.
A delicious breakfast using locally sourced ingredients is served by Pauline in the dining room. Packed lunches (£4 each) can also be provided if ordered when booking. Please also mention any dietary needs or food allergies.
Rodmell is a short stroll off the South Downs Way, so No 2 Sunnyside Cottages is perfect for walkers and cyclists alike. There is always a home for muddy boots, plus the added bonus of a good sized secure bike shed
Dogs are very welcome to stay but we do ask that they are well behaved (and flea treated!). Dog beds are available.
We now have WiFi in Sunnyside Cottages, and just across the road is the Abergavenny Arms, a quintessential old Sussex pub that serves very good food and ales and has WiFi and free internet access. It also does cashback!
In the beautiful downland village of Rodmell you also will find Monk’s House (National Trust) the famous 17th century country retreat of Leonard and Virginia Woolf. For fans of the Bloomsbury set Charleston Farmhouse is about 10 miles away.
Nearby are: the historic county town of Lewes (3 miles), which has direct train access to London, and Newhaven ferry port (3.5 miles), Glyndebourne (8 miles) and Brighton (10 miles).
